Engel & Völkers Las Vegas Spring Valley hosted a vibrant Women’s & Children’s Clothing Swap Party earlier this year, blending sustainable living with a strong community focus.
What Made It Impactful:
Waste Not, Want Not: Guests brought gently used women’s and children’s clothing, encouraging reuse and reducing textile waste.
Farmyard Fun: A visit from Johnny Ca$h, an adorable farm friend sponsored by Security 1st Title and Movement Mortgage, brought smiles to the crowd.
Community Comes First: Guests enjoyed a complimentary dinner and drinks from The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, plus branded reusable tote bags to take their finds home in style.
Giving Back: All leftover clothing was donated to Foster Kinship, a nonprofit supporting children and families in need.
This event showcased how sustainability and hospitality can go hand-in-hand — creating a feel-good evening that truly gave back.

Each year, Engel & Völkers Mendocino celebrates Earth Day by supporting the Noyo Food Forest, a student-run Learning Garden located on a local school campus. This remarkable nonprofit grows fresh produce for the school district, the local food bank, and the senior center. They raise funds through community events and a booth at the local Farmers Market.
How E&V Mendocino Makes a Difference:
Annual Earth Day Bake Sale: Advisors, volunteers, and local businesses donate homemade baked goods. The shop sets up its E&V-branded event tent and hosts a “pay-what-you-wish” sale — inviting the community to contribute as they feel moved.
No Price Tags, Just Generosity: Without assigning fixed prices, the shop raises an average of $1,000 each year for the Noyo Food Forest through donations alone.
Deep Community Roots: This event fosters connection, awareness, and a sense of shared responsibility for both the environment and food equity.

Shops looking to start their own Earth-friendly initiatives can borrow these proven ideas:
Lean Into Local: Find a nonprofit or community cause that aligns with sustainability and support it consistently.
Engage the Community Creatively: Whether through clothing swaps or bake sales, invite others to participate meaningfully.
Keep It Low-Waste: Use compostable serving ware, reusable bags, or recycled marketing materials.
Go Donation-Based: Instead of fixed prices, let the community give what they can — fostering generosity and goodwill.
Make It an Annual Tradition: Repeating your event each year builds brand recognition and deepens your local impact.
Local Action, Global Vision

Events like these demonstrate that luxury and leadership can walk hand-in-hand with sustainability. By championing Earth-friendly practices, we’re not only enriching the neighborhoods we serve — we’re helping preserve the planet we call home.
