This year, Engel & Völkers Americas raised over $35,000.00 USD during its annual 60 Minutes for Special Olympics event.
Capping a five-week fundraising campaign, Engel & Völkers network members dedicated 60 minutes of exercise on October 5, 2024, to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics. Participating shops and network members encouraged their families, friends, and communities to donate to the cause while being physically active for an hour.
A special shoutout to this year’s top individual fundraiser, Mary Beth McGillicuddy of Engel & Völkers Norwell, raising $4,870.00 USD. Engel & Völkers Duxbury proudly claimed the title of top shop, collectively raising $8,670.00 USD through multiple advisors’ individual fundraising efforts.

Advisors from Engel & Völkers Laguna Beach, Long Beach, and San Francisco Union embraced the outdoors with coastal walks, while Engel & Völkers Healdsburg teamed up with Healdsburg Running Company for a “Walk, Jog, or Run” on the Islands in the Sky Trailhead, followed by lunch at Northwood Golf Club.
Engel & Völkers Kamas and Park City got into the spirit of volunteering by winterizing the facilities at the National Ability Center, while Engel & Völkers Mendocino organized a “Borrow a Buddy” Coastal Trail Walk in partnership with their local Humane Society.
Engel & Völkers South Shore hosted a pickleball event at Pickles in Hanover, MA, supported by local businesses, and Engel & Völkers Americas headquarters held an HQ-themed Olympics in New York’s Central Park, featuring kickball and “steal the bacon.”
“Special Olympics holds a special place within our network,” said Anthony Hitt, President and CEO of Engel & Völkers Americas. “We are honored to unite for a cause that fosters inclusivity and celebrates the power of community.”
All proceeds collected will go toward supporting Special Olympics chapters across the Americas, helping athletes gain access to sports gear, participate in Olympic-style events, and benefit from programs such as Healthy Athletes®, which offers health screenings and healthcare access to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
By providing these services, we are helping Special Olympics athletes manage their health, receive care, and improve their quality of life.
